A journey of about six miles from our camp site to Porthcurno Beach, along the Atlantic coast, at sunset, can be a real challenge.  Challenge fully rewarded by the spectacular scenery of raw beauty, at the time of transition from day to night, at the meeting of water and earth. Deep valleys, high peaks, rolled rocks in the water like after a cataclysm, little fishing village of Treen (with  its boats and houses as a miniature painting) and vast plateaus – playground for small wild ponies. All leading to Porthcurno beach, quiet, calm that invites you to linger on its fine golden sand.
